Export PNG with transparency
Since the lastest update I just can't export a simple PNG with no background. Like one layer with no background (transparency).

It seems to be working fine if I pick the Document channels + Normal preset (but I don't want the normal) -- Also I can't see how this preset has been done, it's just not there in the Configuration presets.

Anyone?

Thanks

Hi,

You can create a new preset in the Configuration tab. On the new preset for each texture set channel choose RGB+A. For the RGB, drag the appropriate channel to the RGB button from the channel list on the right. For the Alpha, leave this blank. When you export, you will have transparency in the channel.

Cheers,

Wes
I seem to have problem with exporting a .psd file with opacity channel this way. The opacity data overall is wrong, it's much higher than it's supposed to be. I added a subtle color change in SP but what i get is like a spray paint when i export the texture with alpha.

Can you post an image of what you are getting?

Cheers,

I'm using Substance Painter 2017.2.0 and I tried everything to make work Dilation + Transparent and the only way to have a transparent background when exporting textures is to use "Document channels + Normal + AO (With Alpha)". This is a big issue in my pipeline since we cannot configure that preset. It's really tedious to blend textures togetter without the ability to export with transparent background.
