Color Picker -> Cursor Disappearing

Hey everyone,

each time I use the color picker my cursor for the entire application is disappearing and only a restart helps getting it back. Do you guys experience the same or do you know a workaround?

And while on the topic of the color picker. Is there a way to activate the picker temporarily like in photoshop? Just pressing the button and when releasing it, the software switches back to the brush tool?

Can you please post your PC specs?

You can use the "P" key to use the stroke material picker.

Would it be possible to record a video of this happening? I haven't seen this issue arise before and your PC specs are fine.

This should be fixed in Substance Painter 1.6.1. Are you guys still having this issue ? Do you have an easy way to reproduce it ?

These are the specs on one of the PC I'm 100% it happened in the last month or so.

Windows 7 64-Bits
i7-2600K 3.40GHz
24.0 Go RAM
Nvidia GT 640 (drivers 358.50)


Also as I remember it's always related to Stencils. I can't guarantee it but I will try to reproduce it.

Hi guys,

Ok it just happened again.
Here's a little Screenshot[guillaumelachance.com]showing it.

It happened when I went to 3DS Max and came back into Painter and now I have no Cursor when I Mouse-over the main Viewport

My Project had nothing at all in it at this state. Like just 2 simple fill layers, that's it.

I can easily reproduce it -- it's happening all the time actually and I have to reboot Painter each time to fix it
