Can't buy any copy of game after buying the complete collection
I was gonna surpise a friend who I know loved Generals back in the day, but I seem to be unable to add any CNC game to my shopping cart AFTER having bought the entire CNC catalogue for myself.
The green button is darkened and it says I got the entire collection (17 of 17) on any CNC game store page (Red Alert 2, CNC Generals etc..)

It's a Steam limitation. You can only buy these games as the full collection, and Steam has no support for gifting bundles.

I see.
I can understand "not gifting bundles". But also, I couldnt buy a single CNC game for my friend, even if I wanted to!
It's like the CNC games in Steam store are hardcoded to be enjoyed alone. Even on the storefront level.

They simply can't be purchased separately; they only exist as part of the bundle.

Yes... and you can't gift bundles either.. for some reason.
So.. they don't like making "too much" money? lol

Who are "they"? The limitation of not being able to gift bundles is an issue on Valve's side, not EA's, In fact I heard EA submitted an official request to Valve for such a feature to be added, because they want people to be able to buy this bundle as gift.

Why does EA only want you to buy their Command and Conquer games in bundle, and no other option?

It is the way the games were packaged eons ago on the origin/ea launcher. Just send your buddy a $10 steam gift card and a note that says "BUY THIS COLLECTION FRIEND AND WE CAN PLAY TOGETHER <3) its not quite the same but the best you can do with steam at the moment

Just gift your friend steam wallet and he can buy the collection himself.
