cncnet only supports older C&C games and Dune.
CNC was made by westwood. EA bought westwood.
Generals was a huge hit. but when EA tried to make the sequal China told them they didnt like how the chinese were depicted. It went to the point, where they threatened EA to withhold all publishing if they didnt kill CNC. Because of this. The makers of Max payne were allowed to make an agreement which allowed them to basically use all the elements, as long as they didnt call it command and conquer for a fee. (given EA has been producing garbage for almost 2 decades) they allowed this for the payment.
Thus Tempest Rising is being made.
EA put their call of duty sales above all else. Anything to appease china.
However... servers are so cheap. It feels like a strong feeler to see if they want to take the brand back. if its worth it to discontinue sales in china where people under 18 can be censored and not get jobs for playing video games more than 2 hours. ...they call it social credit score.
EA is screwing us. to see if its profitable. The servers to host this game would cost them next to nothing. They're only selling this on steam because there's talk of disconnecting from China. EA are bad actors in this. what happens will be at our expense. imo. These people hate video games. They look at gamers as animals on a farm. And they've shown over the course of 20 years. They'll treat ya far less than cattle, because they're regulated far less.
When EA and Activsion were the same. Liberal parasites who dumped money to buy up an industry and suck it dry. The fact htis game hit steam...after playing for 3 hours... shows me that's exactly what this is. Funny how Origins said this game wasn't their property any longer, but now they're selling it on steam. (they disabled the CD key on EA's version of steam called origins)
but now its for sale again, without online play. and glitches that were never there.
EA cares only about money, they dont care about us or how we feel.
I am aware, I still have my original RA1 box. Been doing comp stomps the last few days, still fun!
