Guys, I ran into a problem. I'm playing generals with a friend and it turns out that we're playing, I have a steam version, he has a pirated version and he gets an error "technical difficulties" and it crashes after 10-15 minutes of playing. We connect via a direct connection, well, via IP. Can anyone tell me what the problem might be?

He has a pirated version. Impossible to say what was changed in that to make it work without CD, and whether that affected compatibility or game stability. No one's gonna give you tech support with pirated versions involved.

Check that you guys have the same version. Then you can use both, the gentool patch.
