Game is refusing to run on my Nividia graphics card

I have one of those RTX 3080 Ti and the games refuse to use it. Both generals and Renegade that I tested both will just use the integrated graphics instead making the game fps feel choppy. I tried to set it up in nivida control panel to run it as preferred graphics card but to no luck. Am I screwed or do I need to wait on Nivida or EA to bring out a fix? My integrated graphics card is only supposed to be used when I not playing games, but apparently these old games don't support the good stuff.

not sure what i'm doing wrong but this gentool/genpatcher thing doesn't seem to make a difference. Game simply wont launch and gives me an error. Nice.

Search a little bit and you'll find a user Fajoe saying this :

No need for a throd party software, just delete the dbghelp file and it works

I did that and the game is now working.

I forgot to write that Genpatcher is working now

third party makes it easy to play online and install mods

And fixes a lot of issues. Not all of them, but most

I ultimately had to use the gen launcher and use the Vulkan API option to get the frames smooth again. You get it with the gen patcher.
