Registry corrupt and has been altered

Does anyone know how to fix this on the steam side. On EA I just used to reload from scratch and it would go away.
Sequence:
-Fresh load of generals and zero hours through steam
-Gentool
-genpatch

I'm getting closer but not quite there.

Are you using the betas or the older version from origin era?

copying/pasting the solve for the issue - currently a workaround until can be more properly addressed.

To fix it do the following:
1 - Open regedit
2 - Navigate to Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Electronic Arts\EA Games\Generals.
Right-click the Generals folder and click New -> Key, name it ergc.
Click the new ergc folder and double click the (Default) string. Paste the following into it: 0000-0000-0000-0000-0000.
Repeat the above steps at Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Electronic Arts\EA Games\Command and Conquer Generals Zero Hour.
