Is it exp or rep? Also how does it work?
I'm not sure i get the whole point system? For instance if i want to get 50 points is the only way to chat/quest/ and make weapons that people will buy? Is there any other way to increase rep? Because once i start getting into the 100th that seems a lot harder?

Not going to spoil too much, but rep can become stupidly easy to get in chapter 2. To the point where I'm sitting on a couple thousand over what it takes to buy all the skills currently. Until you get to that point, sell good quality weapons at low prices for the most rep gain. Legendary iron daggers sold at 80% always seem to net 10 points per sale, for example. The size of the weapon doesn't seem to matter in the rep gain calculation, only the quality and sale price range.

when does chapter two start? do we get more time to buy stuff and do customer stuff after the first month ends? or does the game suddenly end once clock hits 0?

Take notice of the green bar under your current money total. That's the amount of "time" left in the month and to the next chapter of the game. Time doesn't move forward unless you're dealing with customers however. I've spent the majority if my chapter 2 with good ol' Shero standing in the doorway being ignored while I work on all the other things I want to do. lol

It certainly doesn't hurt you to get rep this early on. In fact, I'd suggest getting enough rep now to learn most of the blade/guard/pommel shapes. Those will really help you in the long run. You'll know when you can start getting some serious rep, and how to do it, when you encounter a point where you can get slaves with rep instead of money. Doing that particular activity, and succeeding, earns you +500 rep with every single success.

I think each chapter is a month. I am about halfway into month 2. Short answer is yes. You'll have more time in month 2/ chapter 2.

I was wondering a similar thing for chapter 3! Like is it possible to soft-lock myself if I don't progress in other areas of the game.

I tend to make a new save for each day before I sleep and cycle through them, in case I do come across something that requires me to go back and prepare and load a previous day.
