I haven't gotten to the holy war yet cause it requires 6 fighter slaves but Im almost certain it'll be the same thing as the tournaments, just more men. However, I haven't fought Gorlock yet. THAT will be cool, seeing tons of little men run after this beast. Im keeping my expectations low so I don't hate the game if it doesn't happen tho.
Thanks for that info.
Yeah, that is a bit unfortunate. I could see this game becoming one of my favourites if only it was more expansive. The mining aspect in particular looks like it has a tonne of potential.
I would definitely enjoy the Smithing, but as I have seen in videos, its a pretty short-lived affair in terms of continuity. In one such video a guy went from shabby daggers to 10k weapons in just an hour or two.
I know there exists potions and other fluff but these features are all a relatively solitary extension of Smithing that don't add much variety of gameplay. It would be great to break up potential monotony with dungeon/cavern exploration. It seems they were already going that route with Tournaments, which is good provided the combat model is acceptable.
Watched so many videos but still on the fence about it. Fingers crossed they flesh out the game some more. Pretty good foundation they already have.
Yeah, I guess for the asking price there's not a huge amount of risk in it. Granted I am one of those people that don't typically bother with games unless I can dig-in for the long-haul.
I'd say I'm going to have a lot of fun with the mining. I'm grinding my teeth at the fact that they didn't put some enemies down the mining roads as a test of metal to access rarer materials. That would have been such a nice touch.
I was at the same time envisioning a scenario in which there are blockades/gatehouses separating different sections requiring that you forge a special key to access beyond that point. The key in question needing to be perfectly crafted out of rare ore possibly only acquired from monsters lurking in the area.
At any rate, thanks again for the insight.
