auto hammering
what is auto hammering if i may ask?

Exactly what it says it is. But to explain a bit further, you press R once you have it unlocked and the smith will automatically hammer away at medium-high-ish strength, as fast as your hammering speed lets the smith get there. I tend to use it on tougher metals to get them up into the 90s and manually tap up to 99%.
