I feel like 9's plot twist would have felt a lot more substantial if Lost Kefin was actually available to purchase and play in some form. All of the other references to the past games felt really cool, but the whole alchemy cloning plot twist kinda came out of left field for someone like me who never got the chance to play 5 but played all the rest of the games.
does every Ys game need a universe destroying threat?
Sadly this game is too much quantity over quality.
this is falcoms while your wait for the next "legends of hero ....." game.
Ys 9 story(and boss) literally need references from other ys game because how weak the story is. They even need to use past character(appears in shiny orb form) to make the story a lil bit appealing.
Not like X is bad, it's enjoyable, but VIII and IX are better.
