According to Gematsu[www.gematsu.com], yes, the save will carry over.

Also according to some comments on the Gematsu link I pointed, the total playtime is something close to 15 hours of gameplay. The only other similar case I can remember was the Dragon Quest Builders 2 demo, where I spent more than 10 hours playing before finishing the demo content.

In the Cutscenn where óðr colborn gives Adol a curse the text changes to a Japanese subtitle. after the cutscene ended it went back to the English subtitles.
