Crazy prices and FOMO tactics
Why does NISA increasingly feel the need to resort to these barely legal means for such a renowned series?

Why do they want to squeeze every penny out of their fans?

The price for the full version of a game is getting higher and higher, will you people continue to buy the games at these prices?

$60 and launch bonuses instead of pre-order bonuses?

it's 59.99, same as Ys IX. The cosmetic stuff is just fluff, it's not a real part of the game. You don't get more story or gameplay from buying any of it. It's 100% optional. Always was with any Falcom game, hopefully always will be.

True, but there are people who suffer from FOMO and in this way they take advantage of it. They could at least release the "Pre-orders" DLCs regularly so that people who don't have a lot of money to spend can buy them later, perhaps at a discount.

$68 in my country. That's too expensive for a year late release in digital. It's evening anyway, I'll wait until tomorrow, maybe it'll be cheaper on other sites.

I hope NISA goes bankrupt. This is not something that should be supported. As much as I love Falcom games, NISA is turning more and more into the kind of abominable company that needs to be eradicated ASAP.

Got mine for 50, buying it on a different site and redeem it just a few mins ago

Greenman Gaming had some keys and a 15% off code with OCT15, but the game has been removed. Guess they ran out of keys. The search bar still shows YsX but gives an error message when you click on it

It's not like Ys IX. They rearranged the items in the bundles to split the good stuff between the deluxe/ultimate and upped the prices of the deluxe addition slightly and the ultimate edition by a massive amount. Then there's the fact that they didn't allow any pre-orders or special discounts on the game outside of Steam. I managed to buy Ys IX deluxe edition for the same price as I would've for YS IX normal edition on Steam. This came with everything BUT the useless consumable packs.

Can't do that with YS X anymore and the Ultimate edition is at a disgusting price.

That was an early bug. OCT15 wasn't supposed to work on it so they removed the listing and then put it back lol.

If other people suffer from FOMO then that is their problem. Why should other people's inability to control their spending influence what I spend my money on?

So you're agreeing with the OP. They're saying that due to the people with FOMO the business practices are profitable and it keeps getting worse so it influences what you can spend your money on.

"Why do they want to squeeze every penny out of their fans?

The price for the full version of a game is getting higher and higher, will you people continue to buy the games at these prices?"

Eventually this will cross a line you dislike and you'll be annoyed too.

And let's not forget that this is still digital and we're only acquiring usage licenses. We're getting nothing out of this that we could resell later or use even if this distribution platform were to shut down.

There is no sane way to defend a price point of 130+ dollars for this.
