The way I see it, the Mettle benefits are already so overpowered that it's beyond overkill to go full rainbow seeds.
You can see descriptions of for each passive ability later anyway:
- Red seeds are high HP damage infliction oriented.
- Blue seeds are high HP damage reduction oriented.
- Yellow seeds are more mixed utility things.
- Black seeds are damage infliction oriented for low HP and low DEF playstyle with some status ailment things.
I never tested how much higher BRK stat benefits you in relevant fights, but girl has higher BRK gear by default, while red hair has higher ATK gear by default.
ignore black seeds. base regeneration is too high so even with skill spam you leave the critical damage zone that activates black seed perks
so Rainbow>Red>Yellow>Blue------------------------------------->black
to go a bit further.
Rainbow gets access to all 3 of the skill sheet colour buffs making even thought they only give 1-3 stats based on tier they are the best option by far. Rainbow + boosts percentage stats (all of them)
Red is attacks. more damage is good more crits is good
yellow is resource management. good for grinding assistance and the sp cost reductions are nice
Blue is defence. largely unnecessary because potions and lunchboxes are a thing.
Black is Trade. You Trade Defence for damage and bonuses at critical hp. while this will give the most dps out of the 4 kinds it also makes you a glass cannon that wants to stay 1 hit from death.
I'm more asking if there is any consensus in how to *effectively* make use of it without min/maxing too much.
and only put singular colours in each tier. mixing breaks the bonus sheet thing
but as stated if you can slot a rainbow slot a rainbow ( they even keep the skill sheet chain going for the individual colours)
if you cant then go red > Yellow > Blue and if you somehow run out of normal seeds slot a black one
