Problem Reaching a Chest on Hidden Isle

Hello everybody!

I'm struggling to reach a chest located on the north side of Hidden Isle.
As of the time of this post, I've just gotten mana shield and have yet to travel into Sonnelia Basin.

I climbed the boulder located nearby, activated mana string but to no avail.
I saw a video where there seems to be a boost midway mana string is deployed, but I can't seem to do it.

Am I too early? Shall I come back later? Or am I doing something wrong?

I would greatly appreciate any help here!

with mana string, you have to hold it down for longer than you think and then it will toss you. This happened to me as well early in the game. You just need to hold it a bit longer.

I had the similar issue yesterday. I was forming a list of complaints in my head why I don't enjoy this game as much as I could. And inconsistent jumping using mana string was one of them. I fell ~80% of the time when I used it when I didn't manage to dodge or air jump after the drop to save myself. Luckily you don't need to restart the level and just spawn right before the jump or can run back. Then suddenly a weird thought crossed my mind what if I am using it incorrectly and I need to hold longer. And bam, after 10+ hours of playing the game I finally learned how to use this tool correctly. It didn't really help that string was still there after the release when you just use a quick activation which created an illusion that you just need to press once to activate it instead of holding.

you have to hold the button, I was able to cheese this one out before I know the trick, then later I found out you have to hold it due to some sections is impossible without doing so.

And if you keep holding it, you can even swing back and forth and even adjust your swinging angle.
