Welcome to the Vertiginous Golf discussion board!
I'm Steve, the community manager at Surprise Attack Games. We're really excited that Vertiginous Golf is coming to Steam Early Access, and we can't wait to hear what you guys think of the game.

Our plans are for the community (AKA you lovely people) to really help us flesh out the world, story and features of the game. In order to do that, we've got our own community hub that we will be posting all of our content, videos, discussions and feature voting on. You can sign up and learn more about it here: http://community.surpriseattackgames.com/vertigolf/blog/welcome-to-the-vertiginous-golf-community

We'll be checking these boards weekly, but the majority of the content will be on the official site, so make sure you stop by and say hi.

You will also see Christian and Paul stopping in here from time to time to talk about their progress on the game, and help you out with bugs. We have also opened our Trello board so you can monitor our progress - both from a developer and publisher side and get a sense of how the development cycle works. Check it out here: https://trello.com/b/KpCDj9PC

Thanks for stopping by, and we can't wait to go on this journey with you.

Thanks for having us.

I'm not golf-crazy by any stretch, but your game is...seductive. Further along the line it'll be a must-have, more'n likely. This is what games need to do - use the ability of the PC to create more surreal landscapes for normal games. The Sneak Peek level in NEXT CAR GAME is more fun than the standard tracks!

The only thing - dunno if it's just me, but every time I glance your way - *every* time - I see a lady doing something naughty with a golf ball. That title, it...works my head in a weird way.

I have to say, this game definitely looks interesting. It's been a while since anybody has attempted to make a mini-golf game that also looks to innovate. As of right now, it looks like you only have only one course of 18 holes (as to be expected, it IS early access after all). My questions are: I'm assuming you are going to make multiple courses, of these new courses, how different or similar are they going to be and how many do you plan to develop? Also, it's stated in the description that it is steampunk-esque inspired. Would all future courses conform to this vision or would they have distinctly different styles? How's the difficulty, can I turn off the rewind and aim indicator if I choose to have a unique experience? I'm glad you are planning to integrate steamwork integration which I think would exponentially extend replayability as well as adding local co-op. Thanks for your time!

Thanks for the feedback...

WarfaIcon - to answer some of your questions:

The plan is to have a minimum of 5 main courses by the time of full release - plus one or two suprise elements. The steampunk feel will continue throughout the design but we'll add new features and ideas to make the courses more varied as the game develops through Early Access.

At present there is just a single difficulty - but adding difficulty levels and a handicap system are in our plans. You can't turn rewind off (but you can choose not to use it) but there is no indicator as such - just the trail the ball leaves behind which can help if you do rewind.

The game is going to be largely driven by the community and what they want so get involved at verti-golf.com and help shape the game.
