Already stuck in episode one.

Okay I'm a bit lost already in episode one. Specifically Run and Jump.
I need to start the 2nd generator, by completing more levels, but I cant see anymore available levels (I've even completed the hard "whale" level). There's a few grey circles where levels usually are but I can't interact with them. There's also a boom gate I can't get past.

Yes the Just Jump generator is running.

However! I just tried replaying the completed level to see if it would work and fortunately it did. So I'm now able to progress.
It's been a while since I last played the game. Maybe there were updates to the game since which caused the hiccup.
