If you have never played Slay the Spire, Monster Train, or Knock on the Coffin Lid, all of those are better. This is a very "meh" Slay the Spire knockoff/clone. They're trying to do something different, and I don't necessarily like it.
No monster train is not better. I'm not even sure it is bigger, but the deathless is way better balanced and therefore more interesting to play than monster train.
Monster train is very straightforward game where you just get the same thing everytime. I like the monster train but it's nowhere as good as this one.
Maybe deathless is just too difficult for you? Try playing it more and you may love the game exactly for the things you don't like right now. It's a real treat for rougelike deck builders fans. Don't start disliking the game just because you cannot understand how basic Dobrynya card works.
And yes I also love knock on coffin lid but balance wise and visual like at least deathless is way better.
Good luck in yer search scallywag
