Totems and Rebirthing

I should be coming up to the three totems and the chance for my first rebirth in another day or two of playing. Fingers crossed. :)

So, the three totems -- is there a reason why I should invest in these if I lose them when I rebirth? Or do they carry over into Rebirth also?

The sum of the totems should be a number divisible by 10 (or 1 or 2 more) because for every 10 totems you will get an extra bonus of amber at the rebirth.
If I remember correct I had something about 120 totems at my first rebirth, in the meantime (after 176 rebirths) I finish an ascension with 440-480 totems.

After rebirth you will losse everything in the ascension tree, you have to do the complete game again but with upgrades in the amber-tree. Thus every ascension will become faster.

Okay, thanks, OZI. So, it definitely makes sense to invest in the totems before my first Rebirth.

Does the price of each level of totem increase or do they stay constant at 15 Sx for each level?
