Thanks for the Pet update

First, thanks for the update! Like the pet so far, and for the away income increase in the ascension tree.
A few questions though on how it all works:

1. What does bonding do? I see two padlocks that can be unlocked with 46 and 96 hearts, I guess that's bonding?

1.2. What does those two unlocks unlock? Pet slots? Does that mean that I need to have a total of 46 bonding on my pet(s) to unlock the second pet slot?

2. It seems that you need the "snacks" to upgrade your pets rarity? How do you get those snacks?

3. My penguin that I unlocked shows as 1 red star in the menu. When selecting it, it says it requires 40 000 "snacks" to get from 11-12 red stars. So I guess that it's a 11 red star penguin?

4. With the penguin that I unlocked it basically means that I'm no longer are catching common fish, but there's a daily quest that requires you to catch common fish.
Can you make it so that you can unequip/equip the same pet during the time lock period of changing pets so that you're not locked out of completing quests?

Hi ! You can earn those snacks with the eggs too, but I can't use them I don't see why. Maybe you need a certain bound level ?

Oh, so the penguin isn't supposed to be that good so that it makes you not catch common fish? I guess I'll drag this run out as much as possible then until I update the game and it gets "nerfed" :P
