The pets, quests, medal shop and more things were not reset.
Only crew+ascension tree.

And now you will progress through it much faster.

Earlier I got on after an update and I had 27 seagulls instead of 8 and buildings were cheaper but the ascension tree was more expensive. Then I got back on and there was another update and it went back to how it was.

Was that an accident or supposed to be a later update?

If you don't have the update then check the integrity of the files to force the download of the update.

My away gold income is now 50% what it was last night. This is not progressing faster.

I don't see it, not where I am in the tree. I don't remember the costs exactly but I remember the time. Last night, with ~3.2 Qt away gold income over 24 hours, I was looking at 1-2 days of income per upgrade. Today the upgrades around me are 2.5-6 Qt which is now 2-4 days. I am making more while playing today, so maybe this balances out. But away gold is basically heavily decreased.
