lost progress

Hi!

I'm enjoying the game quite a lot to be honest, but lately I ran into some problems regarding saving the game:

I'm playing on 2 different PCs and until now I had no problems - everything was fine.... but:
Over the last few days I lost quite some progress, it seemed as if the game always resets to an older save game. I'm not just losing the progress I made since the last save game, it seems progress is going backwards, as I have to unlock perks over and over again. The same with the fishing contest: I finished chapter 3 multiple times by now...

My guess: it all started around the time when perfect ascension was implemented.
The problem doesn't occur always, just every now and then (every 3-5 saves) and maybe changing between pcs doesn't help either (I made sure that cloud saving works - it always downloads the latest savegame)

It just occured again - I let the game run on the first pc, exited and then a few hours later I opened the game on the second pc. The daily tasks were gone again (i finished them before and had 34/35 daily tasks on World Chocolate Day - now it says 31/35)

Today it occured again - I played for about 1,5 hours, bought a new boat and exited the game (save and exit). Now the progress is gone again and I saw that no backup was created for my last play session - as if i never played those 1,5 hours...

Hey, it's very weird, I was able to reproduce this problem with the steam cloud and 2 computers.
but no solution yet, you might want to avoid using cloud until it's fixed.

and a question: you unlocked the boat on pc A and then when you logged in pc B, it was gone?

Yes, but I think it would be gone anyways because somehow I think that sometimes the game isn't saved properly (don't know if alternating between two pcs could be the cause or not)

from my tests, it is the cause - steam cloud

Makes sense - I'll disable cloud and see if the problem persists - will be a pain to transfer saves between pcs, but if that means that I'm not losing progress anymore, I'll be happy to do this :)

Tried that now for a few days by transferring save files manually between my 2 pcs - works well so far (it's a bit laborious, but it works so far)

To me the progression as stalled.

I returned from my vacation now, and I've tested the syncing of the game between 2 computers via steam cloud, it looks now it works perfectly, didn't change anything, I think it was a bug with steam cloud that might have been fixed by steam?
if it happens to anyone, please let me know and I'll investigate this problem again.

OK, I'll enable Steam Cloud again and if the problem occurs again I'll tell you :)
