So Rocket Punch
Is it as powerful as the archer pre-nerf was in EL? It seems to function similarly in that it is an "anti-air" type attack but like with archer just get up in their face and have all the hits connect to delete whatever is in front of you.

Archer is still pretty powerful even with the nerf I'd say. This is just as strong, but you also have a bounce for extra damage.

It is really good damage against larger enemies, but reasonably balanced I'd say. And because of the way abilities work, it has to compete with two other useful attacks so that diminishes it slightly.

I agree. That nerf was one that I did not like but completely understood why they did it. The bounces on this move are more a pleasant surprise at the moment but I don't have the multiple projectiles unlocked yet.

I still have to see what is on offer right now I have rocket punch and drill which is making the game a snooze fest as I delete everything. This game has a useful parry which is a lot of fun and taking up mental processing.

Are you still in the lower stratum? It'll get tougher. And it's good that you're making use of the parry. I regret not using it more in my playthrough, it's doable but some bosses give you very little time to attack if you dodge everything.

Once I got the parry I started using it to see if it was any better than in EL. Shackled Beast and Big wolf are jokes when using parry. Yeah still in the lower area.

I'd say balanced to on the strong side. Even at a point I had a lot of tier 3 options I still used tier 2 Rocket punch. Not only the game has a lot of situations when you WANT an aerial attack (lot of enemies stuck to walls especially later in the game), on any large enemy it's often a three hit. That and the low cooldown make it a consistent hit & run DPS source, on par with the basic pew pew from Jorban (which I categorize strong to OP due to versatility and abusive stun bar breaker). I did roughly 2/3 or more of the game with it always equiped.

I am thinking that is what I am going to end up doing. Just run most of the game with rocket punch.
