What difficulty are you playing on?
I'm curious as how other have found the difficulty of the game. I'm just starting out and finding hard difficulty manageable.
How do find your chosen difficulty matches up to Ender Lilies?

still died quite a bit to some endgame bosses, you still take heavy damage from getting hit
Yup the final boss has a sword attack that takes up a ton of screen space and one shots me with over 400 hp lol. It does have a decent tell though

yeah that move is just designed to oneshot no matter the difficulty

easiest way to counter it for me was to either go behind him if I have time or use the parry ability(I think it's called shackled beast )

Yeah I either use shackled beast or the samurai dash attack as that can invincibility frame through it. Very cool boss.

I play on extra ultra mega hard. Everything cranked up to max, naked with windows fully open in winter and I don't use a controller but a steering wheel with pedals. But since this was still too easy, I started steering with my feet, sound only - threw out my monitor and summoned a succubus to molest me on top. That felt about right and I lived happily ever after.
I'm playing on the default setting. The normal enemies feel about right and the bosses are pretty easy, which is actually what I prefer.

Later game bosses even on normal have quite a bit of bite I thought. Especially 2 bosses in particular. I enjoyed em. Hope you enjoy too

playing on base normal. i can usually get all bosses down in 2-3 attempts, even the hardest ones, but that's because i like to strategize for each boss so that i'm never at a disadvantage and am abusing their weaknesses as much as i can. not exactly as difficult as smt like pure nola lol

Custom:
2x HP
1x damage
2x break threshold
0.5x break recovery speed
1.5x attack frequency

I feel enemies dies too quick thanks to break system so I beefed them up, and making break moment more valuable by lengthening it's duration. I don't like getting one-shot so I stayed at normal damage, but increased their aggression instead.

playing with personalize difficulty for now with
2.0x hp
1x dmg
1.5 break threshold
1.75 break recovery
1.0x attack frequency

before using this setting i kinda feel like enemies die way too fast even without any upgrade with ability or relic, also this settings make boss tougher so i can fight boss while listening to boss OST without afraid that boss gonna die mid-climax part of OST haha

Some of you guys really like to challenge yourself. Like all of my games I always play it on normal and repeat play through is hard. You have the game and abilities figured out but you play more intently or differently on a harder difficulty. Unnecessary stress to take it on any higher but to each their own.

Here's a glass to everyone's victory.

I'm playing on a custom difficulty based on Hard, but with everything at x1.5, except for HP, which I have at x1 for enemies and increase it to x1.5 for bosses and minibosses (there are benches next to all major bosses so it's easy and I can run to the minibosses, which are not too tough). Enemy tells are on.

I think they have decreased the base difficulty from Ender Lilies quite a bit; I'd guess hard is about equal to Lilies' default difficulty. I have played Ender Lilies with damage at x2 and with new game+ patterns for the bosses (with the help of the randomizer mod to have it on a clear new game) and it's a great experience. Ender Magnolia with my settings is at least close enough, I might try something harder for a replay.

That's what I usually do as well. But I read a comment saying that it was recommended to play on Hard if you already have experience from playing Lilies. Not sure if it is true, but I'm giving it a try.

Feel free to experiment and see what works for you. The hard preset isn't too bad.

From my perspective the default damage is pretty balanced and even quite high by the end, but after I defeated the second boss I realized I hadn't died a single time and enemies were just dying super fast, so I made them tougher
I used:
HP x1.3
Break/status resistance x1.3
Attack speed x1.25

Doesn't give the highest fragment multiplier but it's still 1.52
I only reverted to default settings for the boss that heals itself bc it was getting insane, but otherwise I beat the final boss today and the entire game felt nice, maybe a little too easy at times but not a walk in the park, especially the last area.
I did the entire game with x2 health and 1.5 for everything else. Solid experience. Tough boss fights. Amazing experience. I just beat the true final boss on x2 for everything. Very manageable given how forgiving the parry window is.
