Introduction to advanced map movement

Going to keep this short, simple and hopefully easy to understand for everyone who are relatively new to the genre
With a careful combination of Nola's abilities, jumps and dashes you can reach multiple distant/high places that at first glance seem out of reach

Something that is made even easier as eventually you can also get two relics that a)improve your jumps a bit and b)make Lilac just a little lighter


First thing is distances.

If you're trying to reach a distant area that's a bit lower then the place you're trying to traverse from, get Nola's sword.
To start of, jump, execute full sword combo, dash, full sword combo, jump *again*, combo, dash, combo

If the area is about the same height/slightly higher then your starting area, take the scythe.
Scythe air movement doesn't make as much distance, but the combo *does* raise you up in the air a bit
The input is the same, jump>combo>dash>combo>jump>combo>dash>combo

In both cases you can pace to combo a bit to get more distance

Second thing is ascending
You want sycthe for this
Jump in place, execute air combo, dash to a side, combo, jump, combo, dash, combo


Yes, some of the late-game utility abilites make these combos not needed for story progression ...but still very useful for collecting all the loot across the maps....as well as engage in a bit of sequence breaking from time to time

Great tip, i knew about the scythe giving you some boost up, but havent occurred to me to use the combo twice, i was doing jump dash jump dash combo, gotta try your way next time, thx.

i know how to improve it, you can use the shield to be able to repeat the combo, on both jumps, as well as the beast parry skill to use the combo again, together with the moon slash you can go pretty far:
jump>combo>dash>combo>shield>combo>parry>combo>moon slash>jump>combo>dash>combo>shield>combo>parry>combo. you can get pretty much everywhere with this. going to post a video about this one
