What difficulty?
I played and loved Ender Lillies and I may be remembering wrong but I don’t remember it having difficulties.

I understand it can be change during the game but I was just curious what people think the best starting difficulty is and are any achievements linked to difficulty?

No achievement difficulties

Set it to what you want. Others opinions don't matter
No achievements locked.

As for difficulty I would just start on Normal and change it based on how you feel after a few bosses. Normal feels like the intended experience but whether you want it harder or easier is entirely up to your preference in gaming.

People who have played their opinions matter about this to me. Some games just play and feel better on different difficulties so I was just curious how people feel about the difficulties.

That's probably a good idea. I sometimes worry as normal in a lot of games is actually easy but you're right, I can just change it if that's the case.

Not knowing your enemies in the first run would make it harder, i always go normal first, but this game has some nasty bosses so if you dont have the reflexes of a chipmunk go easy or normal hehehe.

Yeah normal does make the most sense so think I will go with that, thank you!

This game have "personal" difficulty. You want the developer setting ? You can. You want your own setting which make enemy does not have red attack when they do attack, you can. You want enemy 1 shot you ? you can.

If you beat Ender Lilies then you'll have no problem handling normal difficulty. Being able to beat Ulv alone is a feat in of itself imo.
If it helps, IMO, normal felt like a nice relaxing experience with a perfect balance of skill on autopilot.

Hard is forcing me to pay attention, even with regular enemies, and I've started dying to non-bosses as well.

I honestly think both experiences are great ways to play the game.
regular hard felt to easy for me i did not die once for the 2 hours. then i turned every setting to max except for enemy health and the challenges. now i die quite alot and the game feels much harder than a regular soul game just like i wanted it to.
Yeah im good with normal i dont want to turn the game into a soulslike hehehe, to each their own i guess.

I set every option 1.5 times higher to reach the maximum fragment bonus. The gaming experiences is quite enjoyable for a souls like games addict like me.

from start when i was given the option at first stop i set life to x2 and strength almost full for x2.5

have to tried bosses a number of times but nothing too terrible... if anything the demo mines enemies sometimes are one hitting me and i wonder if its actually intended after i did all east side, maybe the scaling is harder there...?

idk how many fragments we will need but so far the options are few
I tried hard to begin with, I'm glad that I did because I enjoy the difficulty. Hard doesn't feel unfair, and there is a decent challenge. I think normal would have been too easy based on hard. I like the difficulty of soulslike games, this isn't that level imo
