My thoughts about this game
From the story perspective, I don't feel the same feelings with enderlilies. Yes I know the theme itself is different but... I kind of feel a sense of detachment from the story unlike enderlilies. The first time I was feeling it is that point where I fight against the first boss. I don't feel resonating with the flashback of the boss. and it happen again when fighting that bird like boss and the boss that give parry ability.

I have tried to remind myself many times that this game is not enderlilies and I should have a clear mind state so that I don't compare the game but still can't feel and connect with the emotion or the ambiance of the story. Maybe this is caused by there's so many narration spoken by other npc/homonculus that makes me feels the game wants me to accept this information without thinking.

from the game mechanic, I don't have that much trouble. I still struggle on somepart especially the dodge one. When I dodge the enemy attack, I feel the hitbox or the enemy's attack area a bit wonky.

I know this game still in the early access stage so maybe because the story isn't finished yet there might be some fixing on it. That is

I agree with the absence of a sense of loneliness like in the first game

but that is ok since it is a different game

Yeah, the game has a different vibe all around. The protagonist not being silent, having more NPCs to talk to and the music having a very different style and having more faster-paced tracks helps give an impression of liveliness despite everything going on.

I think the story is pretty neat. It's a "different" setting and we have different abilities at our disposal. Having people around is awesome. Especially when you see people you've helped interact with each other in thr background.

the vibe I got from this one is a little bit more optimistic, which is fine.

there's still people, there's still technology, there's still stuff going on.

to me lily felt like
"save whatever's left of the world"

while magnolia is more like
"save the world while it's still here".
