The second hit where he launches em takes a ton of orbs & just dash & repeat = auto win.
EMS Sasuke, or Mas(h)uke also can do a up combo linked into down combo into air combo taking alot of orbs. His jutsu is also really nice when they all decide to rush you at once.
I find Old Minato to play as in this mode fun as flip too, because of his kunai warp tilt & the cinematic jutsu to drain orbs.
his jutsu goes through everyone so you're pretty much guaranteed hits.
Naruto for range attack invincibility while making and using the Rasengan.
Two Tailed cat girl. If you repeatedly use her up combo, you can juggle enemies without being taken into a cinematic. This way you can take loads of orbs from them without waiting for them to get up from being downed, and the combo is quite quick. Pretty much anyone with a fast up combo.
Mifune, his jutsu is crazy fast and long ranged. He may be the fastest character in the game during that. While awakened, his jutsu hits two times, and no longer triggers a cutscene, so you get to hit multiple enemies with it.
I have to recommend Kimimaro for orb battles. The circular nature of his attacks tends to catch enemies that are trying to engage you in melee while you're trying to focus on one person. Since his combos finish insanely quickly, you can effectively rinse and repeat getting the knocked out orbs at the end of a combo. When I play as him, if I focus on one person at a time with his combos, I nearly always end up knocking everyone out of the match with 5-10 seconds left.
His Larch Dance is also incredibly useful. It's slow to start, but he follows his target with it and it's three, AoE attacks in a row that demolish anyone they hit and make a nice little orb firework show.
