How do I change skins?

After completing a survival match I received a message saying something along the lines of Deidara unlocked. Before that, Deidara had the Akatsuki cloak but afterwards he became the reamination. How do I change it back?

when you go to character select you will notice there are several outfits with some having different attacks. hit RT/LT to switch outfits before you hit A
