CC2 is working on 'new, major original title'

'CyberConnect2 are the guys who have brought us the .hack games, as well as the Naruto fighters, in association with Bandai Namco. So yes, they may be a divisive game developer in terms of their reception, but they have a hardcore fan following. Enough of one to host their own event, actually.
They held one just recently- the “CC2 Summer Campaign 2014” talk event, where they revealed that they’re currently working on a major project.
This, of course, wouldn’t be the first time the developer has worked on original games, but unlike previous original releases, which were more like side hobby projects for them, this new release is, in their own words, supposed to be a ‘major new title.’
That is all that we know about it for now, though. As to what kind of a game it is, or what platform it is coming on, we have no clue or inkling whatsoever, although with TGS just around the corner, more information can’t be that far off.'

is it new anime based game or something trully original, never seen before?

Unless It's Naruto I don't think I'm that interested in it, They're not the best gaming company as it is.

Well I won't mind a full fledged Attack on Titan game from them considering how good their Naruto games are, but if its not a Naruto or AoT title and if they do a pc release I will wait for reviews to even consider buying it.

Their pc port of Storm 3 was lazy in so many levels but can be given a little excuse since it was their first major pc release, lets wait and see how it goes with Revolution.

well, i started the tread but didn't tell what i think, silly me:p
i think that we will find out what this project will be at TGS. i assume it's probably Attack on Titan or maybe SAO for big platforms ( including PC ), it's too qucik for next naruto title i think.

Well they can announce a new Naruto title around December-March 2015 and release it in 2015 E3 for current gen consoles and pc which I don't see as too quick considering Revolution is only for the old gen consoles and pc and current gen consoles have no Naruto game. Besides in next year old gen console crowd will be moving to current gen consoles a lot than this year.

I wished it was a One Piece game made the way they made Naruto's... But since they say its an "original" title, I doubt it will have anything to do with any anime known..

If it's "ORIGINAL", that means it's not going to be based on some anime or anything. I'm curious to see what they can come up with.

Nah, to me it sounds like it'll be an entirely new IP. Original usually implies that it's not borrowing from other things, but I could be wrong.

I dont want a similar game like Asura Wrath.....I'd like to see a fighting game based on Fairy Tail or something
