Worth playing veteran after normal?

Hi.
So I've finished the game with the 4 classes (starting from level 1 each). From curiosity I've started veteran mode too and I've seen that not only the set items are new but normal/magic items are too. Now it feels like I've been fooled and to see those new items (introduced in this sequel), I have to make another grind/farm fest.

Is there anything new beside this and the skills/perks? Does it worth the grind?

The Veteran game is a different version of the original game: Same maps but starting at a different level of difficulty. You'll notice that in the Veteran version you can import a character from the original Van Helsing game. I recommend starting Veteran with either an imported character or a character that has already completed the normal game. Otherwise, you are stuck with a character build you probably won't like, and you'll have to spend a lot of gold revamping those skills when you finally get to the lair. Certain things are only available in the Veteran version of the game, and the achievements list reflects that. But yes, it's mostly the same game.
