Umm, yea, your game crashed at the end.
But on the realistic way , i think he was trying to escape from the flames .
And was hiding in the closet . While the house was burning , he must be taken too much of the smoke . Got this ´´Dream´´ while he was burning down in the closet and died on the end.
I think you're right!:)
It's a wooden cabin. If it was already burned, there would be nothing left but a few stumps sticking out of the ground. The whole story circles around the idea that he had romantic notions of a bohemian life in a cabin in the woods, and she decided she wanted something more. Everything he says indicates that he was happy to make do with old stuff - that he wasn't interested in money. She, on the other hand, became increasingly dissatisfied with the reality of the situation. He could have used his talent to make some money. Instead, he just dreamed his dreams. Meanwhile, the shack just rotted around them. He never cleaned anything, he never made any repairs. And then one day, during an argument, she threw a cast-iron frying pan at him. And killed him.
T: -)
I thougth about the burned house too because of the windows..if I remember well, the man says that one of them is "obscured", like it was made black by smoke (he blames the burner..)
Maybe the house wasn't completely burned down, so it appeares blacked, but not destroyed...:-/
However I agree with the rest of your point of view about the story:)
