Black screen after "Home Sweet Home" event.

After I cleared the first part of the game, there's a guy showed up and let us "borrow" the elder's house. After that, the screen is black and nothing happens, I still can open the menu but nothing else. Please help.

It is six years later, and I have this bug.
Has anyone else encountered it, or know a fix? I don't know what to do.

But after you beat the first Dark Lord early on, you get a cutscene when you first go to leave the town again and House shows up to give you the Elder's house at the bottom left of the main town screen.

After all dialogue, screen goes back and nothing advances. You can't go anywhere, you can however enter menus, but Homeward wing won't work, saying only "This item can only be used in dungeons!", so you're stuck.

I may have replication steps on this bug, and a possible workaround.

I started a new run, and this time got the cutscene to trigger before I defeated the first darklord.

It worked perfectly normally, advancing past it and beyond.

It seems if you complete the preamble and defeat the first darklord and then open up the world before you trigger this cutscene, it bugs out when it triggers and won't advance past the black screen.

There is a workaround that I have found. If you go to the fireplace and remove xp from the village until it is level 9, then you will be able to leave the town and get the other cutscene that attempts to play after the Eldar's house cutscene that turns the scene black. Then after that cutscene has played you can go back to the village, level it back up to 10 and then leave to get the Eldar's House cutscene.
