When?

I totally plan on pre-purchasing this game.
No Man's Sky taught me not to pre-purchase game because they may not always be what they seem.
But Hello Games has taught me that they are willing to put in the work and dedication into their games.
When can I pre-purchase Light No Fire?

At this point I'm guessing summer 2026, 10 year anniversary of NMS.

I’m going to avoid anything related tho this game until release and blindly buy it, maybe the game is terrible or not for me but I owe HelloGames that much for not quitting on NMS and not charging for every update. Can’t wait I think …

Pre-orders start next week, the game will be delivered on May 24th 2027. But yes, no one knowns, I'm just taking a very wild guess.

I'm going to attempt to remote view this: November 2025. I also got October, but it seemed cold and snowy that day for me. But I saw leaves, so that would be November.

Even if Hello Games offers a bunch of incentives if you pre-order Light No Fire, I still won't pre-purchase the game because of No Man's Sky and how it took 4 years to actually be worth playing. I don't want to buy it, blow through all the content, and be left waiting for years for updates.

Totally agree and to be honest, I haven't touched in years now, totally lost interest in the game and most of the updates don't appeal anymore. Played it at the beginning, then a couple of years later and then it went overboard, it's not my kind of game anymore by now, too far away from the original concept. I'm afraid that will happen to this game as well and I'm even reluctant to follow it at the moment.

I like to buy finished games, then I know what I'm getting. I've bought too many early access games that had a great concept and then people starting complaining about the concept and the developers took a different direction to please complainers (that hardly ever play anyway) and the whole original concept was forgotten and what developed eventually wasn't what I paid for initially. I stopped buying early access game, but pick games that are ready made and won't suddenly change everything halfway through development.

That's cool. Should still be an option for others that do want to pre order though.

Last year, I foresaw someone writing this post predicting "November 2025 Release" and have been waiting for this moment to respond... and now that you have finally written it i can tell you that your prediction is... wrong...

It's gonna happen, August 16th, 2025

Although what's going to happen on that date is unknown and will remain a mystery until then since, i can only see into the future about wrong predictions that others post, about future events.
