Light No Fire

Light No Fire

I'm so excited.
I don't care about depth or anything like that. This looks like fantasy medieval. I ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ love fantasy medieval. This could come out in as bad a state as launch day NMS (I was there, I have the right to claim this!) and I'd still be happy.

Also, I want to be a skeleton, and I swear to god if it's not base game I will crack open books and learn the coding necessary to mod that in. You cannot stop me from escaping my flesh prison.

I bought a PS4 especially for NMS before it was released, biggest mistake ever made when it comes to gaming. The NMS launch was so disappointing. If this launch is a repeat of that, I will not buy another game from them. Let's hope they learned from the NMS release disaster.

Didn't even like the PS4, I prefer a XBox. After 6 months I sold the thing. For some reason prices went up around the time I sold it, so I didn't loose any money at all. After some updates, I bought NMS here at Steam again and it was much better and closer to what was promised. Eventually the game went in such a different direction that I don't play it anymore. Hope they don't do that to this game, but stick to that fantasy medieval theme, I love that too.

I'm sorry to hear that. I hope your gaming on console clears up soon.

So far, Hello Games has been much more professional about how they're handling this. They're not constantly teasing new features they want the game to have. No dates have been promised. They're not taking any more triple-A sponsors, nor are they being pressured into interviews anymore, and they're not cracking under pressure, even though everyone keeps pressuring them to give them all the same hype train fuel that ♥♥♥♥♥♥ Hello Games over the first time around.

It seems to me as though the community are the ones failing to grow after the first time around, rather than the company.

It's definitely handled better by them this time, but perhaps a little too little information now :-)

How in the world would you ever think LFN will possibly have as bad a launch as NMS look? Look at where NMS is now lmfao. Hello Games is NOT going to have another disaster launch again.

We'll see, one never knows, some people actually make the same mistake twice... or more.

Definately wait before you buy. If it is what it says it is on release after seeing footage, go ahead. But after no mans sky launch, you otta be cautious.
I think the devs might have learned from the mistakes they made with NMS, and since NMS is great now, according to a lot of people, i havent played it, sci-fi is not my cup of tea, its safe to say that they might be using the same engine right?

So its only a matter of applying all they did right in NMS to this, i dont even think its gonna take that long to release, well, for the huge game its seens to be.

It will have bugs, maybe they should do an EA to test it out on us, for the people who really want to play it now might be a chance to beta test the crap out of it and give feedback for the release.

Keep expectation in check. We know almost nothing about actual game play.

Oh yeah, for sure! I'm excited for [a Hello Games title in my favorite kind of setting]. I enjoyed finding weird broken creatures in launch-day NMS. I'll enjoy it regardless of what it becomes.
You'd be correct if you use NMS today as the reference for this games release and not use NMS's release as an argument to wait and buy later. The "skeleton" of this game is already being play-tested. It's called No Man's Sky. It's been pretty obvious and no one has shied away from that. And the status of NMS today is unquestionably better than it's release. Assuming that their advertising goes well and they don't screw up with a huge P.R. nightmare....stay excited.

Nah. I'm just this weird at base. I'm cool with it; I'm a funky little freak of a weirdo. I own it 110%!
