In general I expect generational improvement of procedural generation compared to No Man's Sky with players started out in semi random locations around the globe.
NPC settlements and towns will be proc-gen and fairly small, but have different styles. They will likely relay on players to build "cities".
If I had to put an expectation down right now the only one I have is Better than NMS's launch
2. Proper flight mechanics with manual take-off, landing and hovering.
3. No limit to depth of digging.
4. Massive towns or cities.
5. No PVP.
