Really hoping this has a proper fully single player mode with option of no multiplayer...

I also hope for this. Also an off line Mode.

Fingers crossed, the store says single with online coop but ive seen this on other games that are not full single player but actually multiplayer with a sole mode tagged on...

This game uses the same engine NMS uses, it should by all means be a SP game. BUT, imagine being all alone with just npc's. Unless they have infinite dialog that could get stale quickly.

If this is built using the same engine then hopefully it'll be like NMS and cater to whatever playstyle you wish.

GameLeap: Light No Fire will be a 100% multiplayer experience. In fact, it would appear (so far) that there is simply no option to experience LNF as a single player. It's a gigantic world they're making, and it will take all of us together if we mean to fill it. ...You'll be able to team up with friends, or encounter other players out in the wilderness – although the studio has indicated that, much like No Man's Sky, you can play alone if you want to.

I expect you will be able to turn multi player on and off at will. Turning MP off will put you in your own instance and will not see other players but you will still be on the same map.

Game play wise I except it to be more co-op focused than no man's sky. There will likely be a player driven economy do you map need to turn on MP for trading but you still do almost every in game solo.

What will turn me off the game is if they have class restrictions that force you to group up to do certain things.

I would imagine they will have SP.
Or they would loose a a lot of sales.

Not dissing NMS, but...
Just hoping the SP narrative, is a little more interesting than NMS.

A Fantasy Earth
Light No Fire presents you with an ancient earth to uncover. One where you're not the hero. Thick with lore, mystery and a constant fight for survival. Inspired by the adventure, charm and imagination that we love from classic fantasy.
----------------

We're not the hero, so either we are observers like NMS or villains. Either way they seem to be planning a lot more lore than NMS.

Might actually skip this if there is no way of playing solo.

My MMO days are way behind me.

Me too, cant stand multiplayer now to much stress, much prefer to play a single player story and do my own thing at my own pace...

"I don't play massively online multiplayer games much these days. Instead, I've returned to playing solo, without the hostility associated with MMOs. I've been gaming since the days of the Spectrum and Amiga, and I have fond memories of being chilled and relaxed while working at my own pace without people constantly shouting down the microphone."

I for one totally agree with Amaronduk, I to have been playing games since Amiga, and one thing I have learned is that I get more relaxation from playing a game when I can go at my own pace in which ever direction I choose. The thing I hate most is finding that as a single player I am unable to complete quests without joining a group therefor making it multiplayer, and with multiplayer although there is supposed to be (1) one leader in any group who knows how to organise and control the group, everyone has there own ideas and each and everyone is chatting into their microphones, so in the end at least half the group don't know whether they are coming or going. I can only hope that Light No Fires is made single player, with an option to co-op if people feel they need it, but all quests should be achievable by a single player.

Gaming website article said there would be single-player option.
