How do you unlock weapons for custom character?

you need to max out their friendship levels to level 4 in Chronicle mode. Then you will have the ability to use the weapon. (edit the weapon your using in the dojo / char editor)

View all the events for each famous officer. Go to all the yellow markers on the map instead of the crossed swords for fast friendship.
