4-II is a funny story - it was originally supposed to be like an extra mode add-on extension pack of the original game, but due to law suit with Capcom, they had to turn it into an independent game. 4-II added ONE new character, with a different additional story mode and some challenge modes, but the content overall is less than what you get with vanilla.
Be warned that in 4-II you do not get any story content and modes from the vanilla game, but the character selection carries over with one additional new character.
SW4 has:
- a fully fleshed story featuring most of the characters, lots of stages
- Chronicle Mode, a mode pretty much where your created character makes their own story, meets officers
- Weapon drops can have randomized perks but can be upgraded
- Really long dialogue. It takes a very long time for characters to talk back to back in battle.
Thats all I can think of for now
SW4 4-II has:
- Some of the stages from SW4 and some dlc, but ultimately less stages in general
- Survival Mode, a mode form SW2 where you keep going up floors until you reach the end (you can also get some of the secret weapons from here)
- Adds one extra character
- Garbage AI officers that you cant do even full combo strings on BECAUSE THEY JUMP OUT AFTER THE FIRST FEW HITS LIKE SERIOUSLY WTF KOEI
- Weapon Fusion, where you can actually put skills that you want on weapons to make the most broken mess (attack speed ftw)
Think of SW4 II as like, half of SW4, but with survival mode. Its really a downgrade compared to base SW4.
Alot of players including myself have been waiting for this release for a while now, since most of us long time players of the series much rather prefer base SW4. Hope this helps.
