Contractors Showdown

Contractors Showdown

Grenades ruin the experience of Exfill mode and will turn players away from the game in the current state of them.
Losing a gun fight with another player? Cool just dip behind cover and put your arm out like your saluting Hitler and the other player has about 1 second to react to your grenade going off at their feet with guaranteed aim throw indicator. I would much rather actually have a gunfight with someone where the game shines with amazing VR gunplay wouldn't you?

Nerfing grenades might help I just want to be able to react better to grenades instead of it feeling like I'm hopeless.

One or more (I'm not saying all of these things) would be nice:

Lower grenade damage.

Remove aim indicator for grenades.

Make the timer for grenade fuses longer.

Significantly reduce the number of grenades findable in a raid so people actually have to buy them.

Make it easier to tell when a grenade is coming your way somehow so you give the player time to react.

If you disagree I'd like to hear your side on why grenades are a healthy thing in this game in there current state.

removing the aim and make it manual throwing like onward is a must !

The frog guy is right... both of them.

Or.... adapt to the situation. If you're losing then you're not adapting.

If you're letting someone throw nades at you then you're either spending too much time in a vulnerable position or you're not holding aim where your enemy is.

Lost max level armor and an expensive gun to a naked player with a grenade in metro. Was several meters away as well.

If youre fully armored, they should only break your legs or something if youre far enough away. It was complete BS

Is this where we come to whine about every bad raid we have? Plz mods the game is great when I'm winning but I lost a raid so please change the entire game for me!!

Nah, grenades are a huge crutch for bad players. Losing a gunfight? Ez, just throw a grenade. Why even use guns at all when you have a get out of bad situation free card?

Bad players should never be rewarded with pocket nukes. Every single gunfight I hear across the map has multiple explosions. This isnt halo.
im personally tired of getting chased by wanna-be predators with their little crutching teamates because they wont solo. Grenades are the only way to deter duos and (god forbid trios) from chasing me.

leave me tf alone and let me loot please. thankyou

I usually solo, and often face duos or triples that all throw grenades. Its like a ww1 artillery barrage
Grenades are rather unbalanced IRL. You don't have a mystical indicator to tell you when one is near you. They are rather hard to see in the air. They don't make a whole lot of noise when they land, and they spit death in a relatively large area.

Learn to adapt, stop asking for a crutch, and git gud. A grenade is a tool like any other weapon in your arsenal, and it fits well into certain situations. Learn to adapt and overcome, or don't, and sit here on a forum complaining. You do you.
The only issues with grenades right now is they have an autoaim feature and armor does nothing against them.

Get rid of auto aim, and make armor decrease the lethal range based on armor level, and they would be perfect. If they really wanted to make it interesting, higher level armor could block them while still having limbs facing the blast get crippled

One more thing: make fuses a range. 3-5 seconds, not 5. Make cooking grenades a gamble just like real life

I wouldn't even consider these nerfs. More balancing tweaks to make nades fit into the meta instead of becoming it.

200 hours in and never seen an auto aim feature for grenades... Sounds OP as F. The only feature I know of that grenades have is a janky throwing path to show you roughly where the grenade will go when thrown.

SOmehow this TC Skates dude isn't a NEET, but spends all of his free time whining on the forums about non game breaking issues. Somehow has a girlfriend supposedly..

The grenade throwing path is what im talking about, it doesnt belong in a game like this. Honestly if they kept everything the same but just removed the grenade path, it would be fine. The path is a giant crutch and removes all skill from throwing grenades

The thing is the grenade aim makes it balanced for everyone so therefore becomes a non-issue. Assume everyone has a grenade and play accordingly, otherwise you're not adapting and getting better at the game.

You can throw grenades free hand as well, but it's very janky and likely they allow aiming because otherwise grenades would be very difficult to use. The first time I used one and yeeted it hard AF it just went straight to my feet. The only time I free hand a grenade is to put my arm out to throw it around a blind corner.
