Happens whenever I try to boot the game, even after verifying the integrity of the files.

Known issue. Bug raised in their discord for the past month. No update from them. Ask for a refund if you have played under 2 hours.

Same thing here. I've tried multiple solutions to fix this problem (checking solutions for crashing UE4 problems in other games) but non of them worked... Local files, appdata derectory, bios, drivers, config, "-dx11" commands, etc. - zero....

Just loading easyanticheat program window -> black screen and after a couple seconds:
UE 4 "FATAL ERROR!" Contractors Showdown crashed and will be....

Hope developers will fix that soon.

Turning off the Integrated Graphics in device manager fixes it. :) if your VR lags after that, make sure to set metalink.exe or whatever to run on your dedicated GPU. just make sure to turn back on your IGPU when your done playing because it can have some performance impacts on other games later. Also launch the game using oculus from steam if its an option!

If nothing they said works, uninstall, delete local files and folders that may not be properly updating or removing since the patch, reinstall, re-verify, launch.

Check windows updates for 24h2 update as this has resolved my issue
