It is very easy! Just download the latest reshade and execute the file, you can choose the game you want to install it for. At the selection toggle (upper right corner) > first deselect all and then > toggle select all
when you start the game it will give you instructions & tutorial
things I like to use:
fakeHMD
CAS
Luna SHarpening
Vibrance or Colorfullness
MagicBloom
sometimes Curves or Levels
Thank you
I kept saying to me, it's absolutely fine just set SS to 150%, I don't see a difference between the Index and Quest 3 (wich I only use for standalone games). Then I took the risk and bought a Bigscreen Beyond, as I already had the LH and Controllers. It's day and nigt. Played for a few hours and switched back to Index. The resolution was horrible and I can't belief that I used it that long. Don't get me wrong, I love the Index as it was an overall amazing HMD, from comfort, to audio and usage.
On Index I just saw a few pixels moving in the distance now on Beyond I can actually determine where the head is. ^^
Making it short. Use reshade. It won't make you panels show more pixels, but the graphics will look significantly sharper. For comarsion what I mean I made a video how to improve sharpness with Reshade in Hitman VR.

Really, it's that big of a difference now...? Damn. I've been running the Index a few years and haven't touched another headset and was thinking the distant clarity in this game is pretty bad even up to 200% SS. Hmm, I guess it is getting old now.
That being said, I think art direction is also a big factor. Distant vistas in Alyx, few as they are, look gorgeous and clear in the Index (and runs so much better...). I've noticed the typical UE game in VR tends to not be so great with clarity.
I'm going to try this thanks!
Not sure what you are getting at?
the thing is with to much CAS you kill the AA of the game. So I set CAS just below that happening, and then use a little Luna sharpening from there. I am on an O.G. Vive though but it works great for me
