Standalone vs PC version
Hey there,
Is there some significant differences between PC version of this game and standalone quest version?
First what comes to mind is graphic, but yet, would love to hear some feedback from people who know this stuff for sure :D

I played Beta on Q3 and Steam. Steam version graphically was insanely better imo.

yes, of course the graphics on pc looks 10x better, but the main difference in VR are the fps. Right now the game runs pretty smooth on standalone too.

2060 super, max graphics, smooth as butter.

I actually prefer the quest 3 version running higher res with qgo. Playing wirelessly through steam does look overall sharper but the texture compression looks like crap. Also the colour in steam version is really washed out and overbright.

glad i wasnt only one who thought it looked this way on steam. There was a patch today maybe they fixed it.

Try both and compare. The refund process, rules and conditions are identical on Meta store and Steam.

I refunded it because of how bad it looks on steam. I assume Quest 2/3 version has lower res, but with this level of graphics I don't think it can be much worse.

I found the resolution of distant things to be very poor in standalone. And when you zoomed in with a scope it was even worse. It is MUCH clearer on steam PCVR IMO.

Close up things looked fine in both versions.

I have a 4090 and its stuttery AF. Seems to improve the longer I play so perhaps its Unreal Engine shader compilation stutter. My friend who is playing the Quest 3 version said the same thing, started out stuttery but improved.

Played for the first time yesterday and most ground textures looked like N64 textures no matter the graphics setting.

I had it pre ordered on stand alone quest 3 and played up to around level 10 before buying the steam version to compare and i hated it. Looked so bad with all the compression issues and bad lighting.

Refunded in 30min. On quest 3 at 170% res no foveated rendering it looks great but obviously the detail drops off over range which is to be expected.

This game runs a locked 90 FPS on Quest Pro (and therefore likely 2 as well unless RAM is an issue) and also perfectly on Quest 3. The game resolution is surprisingly decent on the older Quests, and over all the best graphics I've seen for any multiplayer stand alone Quest game. The 3 runs it at a higher resolution, and possibly with less draw distance pop? I didn't confirm. It may even be 120FPS on 3, again didn't check. It was butter smooth though. I only played one match on my 3. I use my Pro primarily due to the super good comfort it has. I never feel impaired by the fact that it's a native app. I am happy to wait for the eventual release of the META PC version to finally compare graphics that way.

I had just bought Ghosts of Tabor and refunded it first match. It looks and runs like ♥♥♥♥, and is janky AF. Bought this game and wow, smooth as butter, zero frame hitches, smooth enjoyable game mechanics. It's a winner.

this game looks very bad on pc as well, people saying this game looks good are crazy. Also a lot off stuttering with my RTX4080
