Is the other contractors game worth picking up?

Is the OG game worth picking up? Previously liked Onward (and half life and boneworks) on my cv1 and Rift s but lost interest in it and then only used VR for simracing the past two years.

Recently got a Q3 and trying to rediscover some other VR games like this BR game and Ghost of tabor etc

Is the other contractors game just cod vr? Or what other modes are there?

Is the mechanic in this BR game 1:1 to the other game? Weapons etc etc

Also do I need a gun stock?

If you like deathmatch types of modes and lots of modded levels (like recreating halo deathmatch or battlefront), then it's worth picking up the original. There's also a co-op mode with increasingly difficult waves of enemies and weapon purchasing between. But there are a lot of additional game modes in the many mods people have added.

I wouldn't say you NEED a gunstock, I believe there's a virtual stock if you like how those work.

its like VR cod but it has a massive amount of mod support.

There are things like Halo loadouts & maps etc.
If you are into first person shooters at all, Contractors is like a wet dream.

og has mods thats evrn better than the new vanilla game (if you can stomach the jank of them). last i heard hackers have been griefing a lot lately tho

mixed feelings about gunstock. quest 2 gunstock is absolutely worth it. quest 3 tho... none of them feel right and i just stopped using them

I don't know if any other shooter has an as-active modding community, but I know Pavlov on PCVR was also pretty good if not better. I'm not sure what modding is like for Pavlov Shack (standalone version).

Blood gultch is fun, but wait till you load up with halo loadouts but you find yourself in Grove street. Home... or at least it was till i fuggt everythang up...
