...and yet here you are.
Just this game does not deserve so many positive reviews in such short time
It is giving bad reputation to beat em up genre like this
Somebody will be looking for a real game , and they will find this insincere product instead - it is not good feeling
Steam need to do something about this, because its exactly same thing as review bombing, but giving positive review instead of negative Because it undermines other games that are tagged like this one
The reviews aren't only for the game as a beat'em up, but also for it as a Hololive fan game. The game contains a lot of great references and such that are enjoyable to fans of Hololive, so it is great in that regards, regardless of how it stands as a beat'em up game.
Just because it's tagged as a beat'em up game doesn't mean the only valid reviews are the ones focusing on that genre.
I also have no idea what the stats actually do other than Crit and HP. I can guess, but I don't know what "defense" or "attack" even do. Is it a percent bonus? Does 20 defense mean I take -20% damage? Not a lot of communication.
Sure the game is designed for Multiplayer... but the game launched without the Online; the way most of us would have played in a party, so all that's left is the Singleplayer experience
The controls are nothing special and perhaps even clunky, Pow Attacks and Abilities might work fine when you have someone else pulling aggro, but by yourself they are damn near unusable... Seriously, lengthy ones like Polka A2, you stay still for a good 4 secs free to get whacked mid-animation
Items and Consumables are really good, but its again poorly balanced; too many for Singleplayer, and most of us still cannot see the Multiplayer experience that would (possibly) involve trading and gifting to your Holobuds
But frankly, once you play some of the best that the genre can offer you;
Such as say... Madoka Magica Grief Syndrome, Phantom Breaker Battle Grounds and SPECIALLY Fight n' Rage, the beating up is very middling by itself, I'd dare say its EVERYTHING around the standard beating up that makes the game interesting at all
I'm just hoping JDON my soul that the Stickers somehow can be put into Steam Points Shop, that alone would make this game the ultimate GOAT
