Substance 3D Painter 2024

Substance 3D Painter 2024

Can you use substance painter for indie game development?
Pretty self explanatory, but for more explanation.

I'm going to start making little indie games by myself and i have no clue if the license included with substance painter 2024 steam will allow me to do that. would i be able to sell and make games with this version of substance painter?

IIRC there's no more revenue threshold, meaning you can buy it on here for $200 and you can make as much money off of your work(s) as you want. It was $10,000/y over ten years ago, before they raised it to 100k.

Here he's saying that it's unrestricted now: https://steamcommunity.com/app/1775390/discussions/0/3194742039151348388/#c3189113164077526738

I really wish they'd update the store page and give Painter a EULA/ToS. Designer 2024 from what I remember had the 2021 or something EULA linked, and now it says "2024", although the EULA itself seems to be from 2020. Painter meanwhile has nothing. There's no trace of any EULA to speak of. If you're trying to look on Adobe's website you'll not really find anything either. Maybe you could dig around in their CC/etc EULAs, but fact of the matter is this has nothing to do with CC. They should really update the store page and finally include a EULA again so people can read up on it, as inevitably I am sure by using Painter on Steam you agree to the EULA, the EULA which you've never seen and can't even really look up. Just a bit sloppy on their end.

Here's SP 2022 with a EULA, which is stated to be "2022", except the window it opens is titled "2021".

Store link doesn't work properly, so just google the store page yourself.
