any official word on release?

Can you chill, at all? Why do you keep making these threads even though you've already gotten your answers? The guy in the other thread posted a lengthy comment that answered your thread. The top guys at the branch don't know of any removal from Steam and SteamDB shows Painter 2025 getting depot updates, although nothing for Designer last time I've checked.
Can you really not just wait? No one from Adobe really comes here, only very rarely, and you've already got your answers. If you want it "confirmed" again go and ask the leads on Twitter yourself.

Maybe he’s trying to get the developers to respond instead of you? Perhaps his plan is to keep pushing until a proper representative steps in to address valid questions. I haven’t seen any responses from them here. It seems like they don’t feel responsible for answering questions. However, it is their responsibility to address these issues and concerns since they provide the service, and they are obligated to ensure customer satisfaction.

Disclaimer: Its not how I see things; I’m just trying to interpret what the op might be thinking.

Maybe, but the thing is the devs don't come here. All they do is release the new thing whenever it's out and then they tune out. Only after major updates do you sometimes have someone check up on the forums to look for anyone who might have a problem. Just how it is, I am sure he's getting annoyed by the fact 2025 still isn't out. It's being updated on depot atm, but there's still no page or even proper ID for it.

According to the dev comment in the Substance 3D Modeler 2025 Steam forums in the thread titled "Modeler 2024 and 2025 Announcement", Painter is indeed staying on Steam. Quoted from the dev:

Painter will not be removed from Steam. We're currently discussing the distribution model and there may be some changes near but will keep you posted.

I told the dog still has the floppy inside of it. Once the dog passed the floppy they can finally update the depot and we'll all get 2025. Be patient.
