Substance 3D Painter 2024

Substance 3D Painter 2024

Crashes when clicking on "Add preset layer" button
As the title says. Version is 10.1.1, the most recent version available at this time.
It crashes when I load another file as well.
I have tried reinstalling, deleting the cache folder, changing the location, etc. to no avail.

As of 11/4 when I purchased it, I think I was able to use it as instructed with the instructional videos, but by 11/9 it was crashing as described above.

I have posted a reproduction video to the following X account
https://x.com/mickeysmith_jp/status/1855422726145786117

Please let me know how to work around this.

I downloaded Ver 10.1.0 from SteamDB and overwrote it, and it no longer crashes.
I still think this is a bug in Ver 10.1.1.
Report the bug to Adobe and hope they'll fix it before support ends for this version. Not that it really matters, but 10.1.0 isn't its own build in the betas tab, IIRC. So manually downloading the depot or whatever could be annoying in the future, whenever you want to reinstall SP.

Really? They wouldn't add a bug fix? I can understand not adding new features, but not still fixing some bugs seems bad.

We have a fix in progress for this issue, we will release a new version in a few days to address it.

Cheers
I was kinda hoping my Wacom pen issue would be resolved too, but I guess it's more so on Wacom to fix it, as it happens with 1-2 other Adobe programs too (old ones at that), although everything else is fine. At least these more critical issues are getting fixed before the 2025 deadline.
