Substance 3D Painter 2024

adding fonts
since we are cut off from anything adobe. how do i add fonts and other resources? currently trying to add Japanese font but cant with one over a copyright. and the other just has English.

drag and drop them into the shelf or thru the libary.
ture type fonts (ttf) also work.
If the creator of the font added licensing restrictions on the font, you are out of luck.

You could either buy a non restricted ttf version from the creator or create your own fonts.

you could also go the substance designer .sbsar route for creating the fonts for substance painter.

do i need to buy designer if i only have the perpetual painter one?

i found a font that is not restricted but its only showing in english so im not sure how to switch it to Japanese characters when the preview shows ♥♥♥

If there is a trial, you could use that to quickly create the sbsar file.
Maybe there are prior versions out there which you could use?

As a test, I tried out the Noto Sans Japanese ttf font from google and it showed the following symbols correctly.これはテストです
