Steam Deck Performance
So the game looks great on the Steam Deck and performs pretty well too. If you're playing at 60 fps you'll see some micro stutters throughout the game. They seem to come whenever battling large groups of enemies. It also has a bit of a hard time keeping 60 in certain areas. If you want to set it to 40 or 45 you'll notice it will stay there and be a solid rock at 40 fps. I cannot wait to see where they go with this game and that they add. I added my gameplay video as well to show off the game.

We will be constantly working on optimisation for the Steam Deck throughout Early Access too :)

Awesome! I can't wait to see where it is now compared to where it is when it hits 1.0

Awesome. Just bought it simply because of your dedication. Keep it coming.

Yeah, kind of a stutter fest right now, even on Steam Deck oled. Even just standing still framerate fluctuates between 90 and 86 like clockwork, and dips quite a lot below that when jumping and moving around. I’ll check back in a couple of weeks

Yeah that stutter is really distracting and present no matter where you set the framerate. Worst of all you'll notice judder when running so the background scrolling isn't smooth. Trying it on my PC but might be a refund til this issue is sorted.

Performance is bad on my Steam Deck and my PC. Didn't expect that, even after the Delay. At least 60 FPS are mandatory for that kind of game.

And I know it's Early Access. Playing Hades 2 with solid 60 FPS in 1440p with the Steam Deck connected to the TV.

Yes i confirm performance on steam deck si very bad compare Hades 2, I had motion sickness when I played on my TV, for a 2D game, it is amazing. Hope it will be fixed son.

I partialy fixed the performance:

It's not perfect, but so much better

its 60-80 fps now on the Asus ROG Ally. hopefully with more optimization, it will get to 120, like the Lost Crown.

What about framepacing on Ally? This is the biggest issue.

How much does this help? My PC is in the shop and so is my keyboard reciever so it's a pain to do anything that requires typing.

It doesn't magically add FPS, but it does stabilize them, making the background smoother as well as the overall gameplay. I don't know if it will be helpful on Windows. On Steam Deck in many games on Unity Engine it improved gameplay - Cult of The Lamb or Tinykin are the first ones that come to mind.

Aside from performance, I think the game doesn't look very good on the Deck's screen. The anti-aliasing solution chosen leaves a very aliased image at 720p. And when running the game at 1080p to mitigate this you won't maintain a stable 60 fps, unsurprisingly,
